Job Posting: Network Deployment Engineer - III
Location: Branchburg, NJ
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Duration: 12 Months
Role Summary
We are seeking a Network Deployment Engineer III to join our Security Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying network equipment that provide critical visibility to system performance and security teams. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners, vendors, and installation teams to ensure seamless deployments, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and manage multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy Packet Brokers and other network equipment to provide visibility services.
- Collaborate with internal customers (System Performance, App, Security teams), vendors, and installation partners.
- Create deployment guidelines and cutsheets to ensure proper equipment installation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Layer 1 & Layer 2 connectivity issues.
- Manage and track multiple projects with timely execution and reporting.
- Handle occasional shipping and receiving of equipment (up to 50 lbs).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree OR 4+ years of relevant work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in network engineering or a related field.
- Expertise in Layer 1 & 2 deployments (fiber, taps, optics, power connectors, cabling).
- Strong knowledge of Layer 3-7 concepts.
- Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with project management (tracking tasks, reporting weekly progress).
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs for shipping/receiving duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Networking, or related field.
- Relevant network certifications (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
- Experience with packet broker ecosystems (Keysight, Gigamon, Extreme Networks).
- Strong technical understanding of 4G/5G data network architectures.
- Knowledge of 3GPP standards and protocols (LTE, TCP/IP, DIAMETER, SIP).
- In-depth expertise in 5G, IMS, and LTE call flows.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective cross-team relationships.
Work Location
- Hybrid role: 3 days onsite at Branchburg, NJ office, 2 days remote.
