Job summary

Ultimate Knowledge seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer who writes code, reasons about systems, and ships cloud-native solutions. You will embed with customer teams, adapt our platform to secure environments, and operate Kubernetes workloads in production, including on-prem and cloud contexts.

You will influence architecture, implement automation, and collaborate across teams while communicating effectively in demanding settings and maintaining a pragmatic, results-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (TypeScript, Java, Go, Python).
• Hands-on Kubernetes in production deployments.
• Experience with GitOps tooling (ArgoCD preferred).
• Experience building/infrastructure as code with Terraform, Helm or Kustomize.
• Troubleshoot distributed systems including containers, APIs, microservices, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Ship code and build tooling to automate customers' deployments.
• Debug distributed failures and improve reliability in cloud-native environments.
• Collaborate with customer teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Explain complex technical concepts to non-experts and manage expectations.
