Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services is seeking Field Data Technicians to collect detailed field data for electric and telecom facilities in Minnesota. The role involves hiking between utility poles, data capture, and heavy travel with overnight stays. Training will be provided and independent work is expected.

This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage, bonus opportunities, and allowances for vehicle use as well as living expenses during travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical background preferred.
• Outdoor work experience and ability to lift 15–20 lbs.
• Basic computer literacy and GPS map reading.
• Willingness to travel overnight 1–2 weeks.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Reliable transportation and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Collect field data outdoors for fiber optic facilities.
• Submit organized data including maps, notes and images.
• Operate and maintain tablet, camera, measuring tools.
• Represent Osmose professionally in the field.
• Communicate daily with the project management team.
• Work safely and independently with minimal oversight.
