Job summary

Osmose is seeking Field Data Technicians to collect detailed technical information about electric utility and telecommunications facilities in outdoor environments. The role involves hiking between utility spans to gather data and support outside plant engineering and fiber optic construction projects.

The position requires overnight travel typically 1–2 weeks, weekend home time, and potential longer assignments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical background preferred.
• Knowledge of telecommunications and/or electrical distribution is a plus.
• Able to lift 15–20 lbs regularly and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Work outdoors collecting field data to support fiber optic projects and engineering design.
• Submit organized data for each project, including maps, field notes, and digital images.
• Maintain a professional appearance and communicate clearly with customers and the public.
