Job summary

Education Development Center, Inc. (EDC) is seeking 5 part-time Data-Collectors (Casual I) to support a federally funded study examining how integrated science and literacy curricula affect early elementary students.

The role involves in-person assessment administration in kindergarten and first grade classrooms, with travel to sites in various states, including Oregon. The position requires 15–20 hours per week during peak windows, up to 200 hours per school year, and offers a starting hourly

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children.
• Experience teaching within elementary schools.
• Experience conducting assessments with young children.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly and courteously with clients, consultants, collaborators and funders.
• Become a reliable assessment administrator.
• Complete required background checks and fingerprinting procedures.
• Travel locally/regionally to and from elementary schools within data collection sites.
• Conduct assessments with kindergarten and first grade students.
• Complete data entry and follow-up notes within 24 hours of data collection.
• Coordinate and communicate with study team leaders to follow established data collection protocols.
