Job summary

VSE Aviation is building a dedicated IT Integration Team. This Senior Cybersecurity Integration Engineer will bring acquired sites up to VSE security standards, lead firewall and perimeter design, enforce Zero Trust, and onboard EDR and SIEM during rapid integrations.

The role is field-based with substantial travel and close collaboration with the cybersecurity team. Ideal candidates have senior network security engineering experience across multi-site environments, strong firewall and VPN

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field or an additional 3 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree.
• 7 years of firsthand network security engineering in a multi‑site enterprise environment, including at least three years at a senior or lead level.
• Deep enterprise firewall experience: physical deployment, rule set design and cleanup, NAT, VPNs, and inspection policy on a major NGFW platform.

Responsibilities

• Onboard acquired sites with day-one security checklist for personnel and systems.
• Assess security posture and document risks for IT and leadership.
• Lead perimeter firewall buildout and configure site-to-site and remote-access VPNs.
• Implement Zero Trust controls and Entra ID policies; enforce least privilege and MFA.
• Deploy and validate EDR across devices and integrate sites into SIEM.
• Manage vendor relationships for security tooling and licensing.
• Produce security handoff packages and drive closure of findings.
