Job summary

VSE Aviation seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Integration Engineer to lead security integration at newly acquired sites. You will own end-to-end security architecture, including perimeter design, firewall buildout, and Zero Trust implementation, while coordinating with IT and security teams during go-live.

The role is field-based with heavy travel to domestic and international acquisitions, and requires hands-on expertise in EDR, SIEM, and secure identity practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field; or additional years of equivalent work experience.
• 7 years of firsthand network security engineering in a multi-site enterprise environment, including senior/lead experience.
• Ability to own a security architecture end to end: assess, design, build, validate, document, and hand off with minimal supervision.
• Extensive experience with firewall deployments, segmentation design, and VPN/inspection policies.

Responsibilities

• Onboard acquired site security using the day-one checklist and assess the security posture.
• Lead perimeter firewall deployment, policy configuration, and site segmentation across acquisitions.
• Implement Zero Trust Network Access, Conditional Access, MFA, and identity protection.
• Deploy endpoint security (EDR) and integrate sites into the SIEM; ensure telemetry and alerting coverage.
• Manage vendor relations for security tooling, licensing, and hardware deployment.
• Document integration artifacts and drive closure of findings during go-live and hyper-care.
