Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Field Chief Technology Officer for the Public Sector to lead technology and mission transformation for strategic government and education accounts. This senior, customer-facing role shapes data and AI strategy, governance, and operating models, guiding agencies toward modern data estates and secure, responsible AI deployment.

You will engage CIOs, CTOs, CDS, and mission leaders, translating needs into reusable architectures and roadmaps while collaborating with product,

Qualifications

• 15+ years in enterprise technology, consulting, or public-sector transformation.
• Direct experience with U.S. public-sector institutions and pre-sales/strategy roles.
• Strong background in modern data architectures, data governance, analytics, and AI platforms.
• Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Citizenship in the U.S. and active clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted-advisor relationships with C-level and mission leaders across public-sector accounts.
• Shape executive thinking on secure data and AI modernization.
• Lead executive strategy sessions aligning agency priorities with Databricks roadmaps.
• Provide field-level technical insight across architects, engineers, and security stakeholders.
