Join Our Team as a Field Crew Chief

The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. (MSG) is a people-focused, award-winning, full-service consulting firm offering services in civil and geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, planning, landscape architecture, agriculture, surveying, and construction support. With over 450 professionals, we deliver integrated planning, design, engineering, and construction solutions.

Due to MSG's growth, we are seeking a Field Crew Chief to support our Survey projects across Ohio & Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a one or two-person field crew
• Operate Robotic Total Stations, GPS, and data collectors
• Perform and oversee field work for topographic, boundary, roadway, and ALTA Surveys
• Conduct property legal research online and at county offices
• Manage data files and ensure accuracy of field notes

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

Experience with the following is a plus but not required:

• Processing topographic, boundary, and ALTA Surveys using AutoCAD/Civil 3D or OpenRoads Designer
• Preparing construction staking materials, including point files
• Support for obtaining a Professional Surveyor license in Ohio (MSG supports professional growth)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Trimble Robotic Total Stations and GNSS data collection
• Experience with AutoCAD or Civil3D
• Willingness to travel based on project needs
