Job summary

MGX Equipment Services, LLC is seeking Field Crane Technicians in the Houston, TX area. The role covers inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of mobile cranes and boom trucks at the Houston branch, reporting to the Service Manager.

Compensation includes an hourly pay range of $31.00–$57.00, a $4,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days, and a tool reimbursement program up to $1,500 yearly. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Must have a mechanical background and related experience with electrical and hydraulics; and be able to read both electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Experience in preventative maintenance and light equipment repair (oil changes, brake jobs, etc.).
• May be required to travel to job sites and for training up to 50% of the time.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Experience working with different forms of mobile crane and/or heavy equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Light diagnosis, repair and troubleshooting of various mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes.
• Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.
• Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections.
• Properly fills out working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews and expense reports.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.
