Job summary

MGX Equipment Services, LLC is seeking a Field Crane Tech-A Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain mobile cranes and boom trucks at the Lee's Summit, MO location for MGX Field Crane Technicians reporting to the Service Manager.

This role offers a $4,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days of continuous service, a tool reimbursement program up to $1,500 per calendar year, and potential relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1 year crane experience preferred.
• Mechanical background with electrical and hydraulics; able to read schematics.
• Experience in preventative maintenance and light equipment repair.
• Willing to travel to job sites and training up to 50% of the time.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with mobile cranes/heavy equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Light diagnosis, repair and troubleshooting of mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes.
• Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.
• Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections.
• Properly fills out working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews and expense reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Field Crane Tech-A Mechanic (Transportation)

MGX Field Crane Technicians are responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various crane equipment including mobile cranes and boom trucks. This position will be located at the Lee's Summit, branch for MGX Equipment Services and reports to the Service Manager.

*Candidates hired for this role will receive a $4,500 sign-on bonus, payable after 90 days continuous service; and be eligible for our Tool Reimbursement Program of up to $1,500 per calendar year. Relocation assistance may also be available to those who qualify.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Light diagnosis, repair and troubleshooting of various mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes.
• Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.
• Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections.
• Properly fills out working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews and expense reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Crane Mechanic/Technician preferred.
• Must have a mechanical background and related experience with electrical and hydraulics; and be able to read both electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Must have experience in preventative maintenance and light equipment repair (i.e. oil changes, break jobs, etc.)
• May be required to travel to job sites and for training up to 50% of the time.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Experience working with different forms of mobile crane and/or heavy equipment is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• This is a full-time position with typical working hours between 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions.
