Job summary

Stella Construction & Home Services is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for residential remodeling and custom homes. The role focuses on field coordination, site safety, organization, and timely progress across multiple job sites in the Metro-North/Greater Boston area.

You don't need carpentry skills or own tools; training is provided. The position offers a management-track path toward Superintendent or Project Manager with company-supported OSHA, lead-safe, and CSL/License training.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in construction, field coordination, logistics, or trade-adjacent role.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record (required).
• Comfortable driving pickups, vans, and 550/650-class trucks.
• Strong organization and follow‑through; ability to manage tasks to completion.
• Proficient with photos, logs, and scheduling apps on phone/tablet.

Responsibilities

• Own the condition of every active jobsite and keep it clean, safe, and ready for clients.
• Manage punchlists by documenting items, assigning work, following up, and verifying completion.
• Oversee dumpster program across sites, including placement, swaps, permits, and disposal costs.
• Stage materials ahead of crews by reviewing schedules and anticipating needs.
• Handle cleanouts and site cleanup during pre-construction, progress, and pre-finish stages.
• Drive company vehicles to supply and service jobsites; assist with deliveries.
• Receive deliveries, verify materials, document damage, and coordinate returns.
• Coordinate subcontractors' on-site schedules and expectations.
• Keep JobTread current with daily notes and photos for each job.
• Support Project Managers and operations staff with coordination as needed.
