Job summary

Stella Construction & Home Services is seeking a Project Manager / Superintendent for commercial construction in the Boston metro area. The role focuses on leading high-end renovations and coordinating project teams, with opportunities to advance to Operations Manager.

You will build plans, manage budgets, and communicate with clients and subs while traveling to job sites as needed. OSHA/lead-safe training and CSL licensing are provided as part of growing into a superintendent track.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Procore and/or Bluebeam is a plus.
• Ability to travel occasionally to remote job sites.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timelines.
• Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring adherence to project plans and standards.
• Coordinate project team meetings to monitor progress and resolve any issues that arise
• Serve as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other external partners.
• Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets, ensuring all expenses are within approved limits.
• Identify potential budget risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
• Support Project Managers and operations staff with coordination as needed
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, budgets, schedules, and progress reports in SharePoint and Procore.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Where it goes. This role exists to build Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, and Operations Managers. We'll pay for your OSHA, your lead-safe certification, and your Construction Supervisor License. If you show us judgment and follow-through, you'll be running your own jobs inside two years. That's not a line in a posting -- it's the reason the role exists.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of commercial construction experience
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to travel occasionally to remote job sites
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• A self-starter with the ability to work independently and think on their feet.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required)
• Comfortable driving pickups, vans, and 550/650-class trucks
• Serious organization and follow-through -- this job is chasing things to closure
• Comfortable using a phone and tablet for photos, logs, and scheduling software
• Able to communicate clearly with subs, clients, inspectors, and neighbors
• Able to perform the physical demands of the job with or without reasonable accommodation: regularly lifting and carrying 50 lbs, occasional heavier loads with help or equipment, being on your feet for a full shift, and working outdoors year-round
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

• Experience coordinating trades, deliveries, or schedules in any industry
• DOT medical card, current or obtainable
• Trailer towing experience
• OSHA 10 or 30
• EPA/MA Lead-Safe Renovator (RRP) certification
• MA Construction Supervisor License (CSL) or HIC registration
• JobTread, BuilderTrend, or Procore experience
• Conversational Spanish or Portuguese -- several of our subcontractor crews work primarily in these languages

Compensation & Benefits

• $95,000 to $115,000 based on experience and certifications
• Overtime at time-and-a-half over 40 hours
