Job summary

Global Connect Technologies in Austin, TX seeks a seasoned Controls Engineer to support deployment and commissioning of automation systems in manufacturing environments. You will program and troubleshoot Siemens PLCs with TIA Portal, integrate G120/G150 drives, and work with Profisafe safety blocks.

This hands-on role requires on-site presence and collaboration with AMR teams to ensure rapid production ramp-up.

Qualifications

• Experience commissioning and deploying automation systems in manufacturing.
• Proficient with Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal.
• Experience with drives or safety systems (Profisafe) is a plus.

We are seeking experienced Controls Engineers to support ongoing deployment and commissioning efforts within manufacturing and material handling environments. This role will focus on bringing automation systems online, with an emphasis on Siemens-based controls and autonomous material flow systems (AMRs/AGVs).

This is a hands-on, field-focused role supporting active projects - ideal for engineers comfortable stepping into late-stage deployment and quickly driving execution.
