Job summary

R&E Automated Systems is seeking an experienced Field Service Controls Engineer to lead automation projects, implement control systems, and troubleshoot PLC/HMI networks at customer sites across North America.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial automation, system integration, and project management, with willingness to travel extensively and work with diverse clients in automotive and non-automotive sectors.

Qualifications

2+ years experience in industrial automation and controls.
Proficient in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens and or others).
Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks at Integrators, OEMs and Tier Suppliers. 50% Automotive and 50% Non- Automotive.
Perform system upgrades and modifications to existing automation systems.
Commission new control systems and equipment.
Work with customers to define project scope and requirements.
Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets.
Train customer personnel on system operation and maintenance.
