Job summary
Thermo Systems LLC is seeking a Controls Engineer III to support design, integration, and delivery of automation projects in industrial environments. You will lead tasks across design, implementation, testing, and commissioning with engineers, PMs, and field teams to ensure safe, reliable delivery.
The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, strong PLC/HMI skills, and the ability to communicate with customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
- Typically 4+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or system integration environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering tasks or small project scopes.
Responsibilities
- Lead start-up and commissioning of control systems.
- Lead and perform FAT for automation systems.
- Interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics and provide feedback on field conditions.
- Develop and implement HMI and PLC-based automation solutions.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and commissioning teams to ensure successful project execution.
