Thermo Systems LLC is seeking a Control Systems Project Engineer I to lead and support a variety of control system projects. You will guide tasks, perform startup and FAT activities, and ensure successful integration of HMI/PLC applications in line with our QA/QMS standards.

The role emphasizes customer communication, field problem solving, and collaboration with engineers and technicians to deliver on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with relevant technical experience.
• Typically 4+ years total experience.
• 2+ years as Lead Control Systems Engineer or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage control system projects or major tasks from start to finish.
• Provide engineering support and act as the project lead on assigned tasks.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to meet project goals.
• Perform startup, commissioning, and FAT on control systems.
• Review drawings and wiring diagrams; ensure field conditions align with design.
• Ensure IT/network considerations are integrated into control system designs.
• Deliver clear, proactive communication with customers and trade partners.
• Identify risks and propose effective solutions to keep projects on track.
