Job summary

Clean Water Services is seeking a Field Construction Technician 1 to construct, repair, and maintain sanitary and storm sewer conveyance infrastructure, including pipelines, manholes, catch basins, and related facilities. The role covers reading maps, performing trenchless methods, and mastering safety protocols in a field setting in Oregon.

Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months of relevant experience or a trade-school background, and the ability to obtain a CDL

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in public works, utilities, construction, wastewater, or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state-issued Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to obtain traffic control and flagging certification within 6 months of hire.
• Competent Person certification
• Confined Space Entry certification

Responsibilities

• Constructs, repairs, and rehabilitates sewer pipelines, manholes, and catch basins.
• Digs trenches to lay pipelines; prepares job sites.
• Aligns pipes and applies protective coatings.
• Maintains and repairs pipelines; performs pressure testing.
• Operates heavy equipment; participates in safety training.
• Reads maps, diagrams, and plans; completes work orders locating utilities.
• Drives a CWS or personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
