Helix Craftworks LLC is looking for an entry-level Field Construction Technician I to learn how well-run projects are protected, staged, documented, and built while supporting a growing range of field tasks.
The role is a W-2 position with a base of $20–$23/hour, and a structured ladder through Level 2 and Level 3. Placement includes York & Lancaster Counties, PA, with as-needed coverage in nearby areas; a 90-day introductory period with reviews follows.
Field Support 1 full-time + 3 part-time / as-needed roles
This is an entry point into professional construction, not a disposable labor position. You will learn how well-run projects are protected, staged, documented, and built while becoming useful across a growing range of field tasks.
Base compensation
$20–$23/hour
Schedule
W-2; one full-time and three part-time or as-required roles
Territory
Primary assignment — York & Lancaster Counties, PA · As-needed coverage — York & Adams Counties, PA and Northern Maryland
W-2 base compensation before overtime, bonuses, benefits, or vehicle allowances. Final offers reflect demonstrated capability, credentials, responsibility, and territory; applicants do not automatically begin at the top of a band.
Placement depends on demonstrated capability, judgment, and scope ownership—not years alone. The open title identifies our immediate need; the full ladder shows where the role can go.
Level 1
$20–$23/hour
Learns site standards and supports the team safely and consistently.
Level 2
$24–$28/hour
Handles recurring field tasks independently and supports basic installations.
Level 3
$29–$34/hour
Leads setup, logistics, small scopes, and newer technicians in the field.
Senior team members who build lasting value at Helix may be considered for a long-term ownership pathway. Opportunities can include a structured buy-in, performance-based participation, or a combination of the two. Ownership is considered individually and is not guaranteed by tenure alone.
W-2 hires begin with a 90-day introductory period: skill and reliability verification in days 1–30, a written day-45 checkpoint, a day-75 recommendation, and a day-90 regular-status decision. The first compensation review occurs at six months; annual reviews follow.
Field candidates provide basic personal hand tools appropriate to their level and reliable transportation initially. Helix provides job-specific equipment, specialty loadouts, safety equipment, consumables, and required technology. Company vehicles will be introduced by role and territory as the fleet develops.
Benefits and paid time off become available upon successful transition to regular full-time employment. Independent subcontractor engagements do not include employee benefits.
