Job summary

Helix Craftworks LLC is looking for an entry-level Field Construction Technician I to learn how well-run projects are protected, staged, documented, and built while supporting a growing range of field tasks.

The role is a W-2 position with a base of $20–$23/hour, and a structured ladder through Level 2 and Level 3. Placement includes York & Lancaster Counties, PA, with as-needed coverage in nearby areas; a 90-day introductory period with reviews follows.

Qualifications

• Construction experience is helpful but not required for the right candidate.
• Reliable attendance, transportation, and communication are required.
• Comfort using basic hand and power tools or the willingness to learn safely.
• Able to perform physical field work and follow detailed instructions.
• Professional conduct in clients’ homes and occupied workplaces.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain floor, path, fixture, and dust protection
• Support selective demolition, debris control, material staging, and deliveries
• Assist carpenters and trade partners with preparation and basic installation tasks
• Maintain tools, consumables, jobsite organization, and daily cleanup
• Follow safety requirements and communicate changing site conditions promptly
• Learn Helix workflows, terminology, documentation, and quality expectations
