Job summary

Austin Industries, Inc. is seeking an entry‑level construction field position to assist the assistant superintendent I and the superintendent with day‑to‑day field activities on assigned job sites in Houston, TX.

You will review documents, plan layouts, guide field crews, and help ensure safety compliance and quality as part of a collaborative team responsible for meeting schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• B.S. in construction management/science or related field, or 4 years of commercial construction trade experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required (may obtain within first year of employment)
• Entry level position

Responsibilities

• Assist with field construction planning and scheduling.
• Support safety program implementation and site inspections.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and schematics to determine scope and materials.
• Direct coordination with foremen to ensure work quality and timely completion.
• Assist with daily field activities and layout as directed by superintendents.
• Monitor and report on site progress and budget adherence.

Education

B.S. in construction management/science, engineering or related field

4 years of commercial construction trade experience
