Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. in Pekin, IL is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to oversee field construction on utility-scale solar projects.

You will support the Superintendent, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery while coordinating with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams. Qualifications

• Engineering, construction management, or architectural degree or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years as General Foreman.
• Field construction experience at supervisory level.
• Experience on utility-scale solar projects.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, and NEC.
• Strong scheduling, planning, expediting and cost control.
• Ability to read specifications for all trades.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing and coordinating field construction activities.
• Provide direction to crews and subcontractors to ensure safe and productive work.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and coordinate field personnel.
• Enforce safety policies and participate in required safety training.
• Monitor work quality with inspections and audits to follow plans and SOLV Energy standards.
• Plan and manage materials, tools, and equipment needs; track deliveries.
• Support development of project schedules (CPM) and coordinate progress.
• Review drawings, specs, and submittals to support readiness.
• Attend pre-job meetings, daily huddles, and coordination meetings.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and close-out packages.
