Job summary

Turner Industries is hiring a Superintendent to join our team in the Tuscaloosa, AL area. This full-time on-site role oversees maintenance and construction activities, coordinating scheduling, engineering, and material control to meet design, budget, and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• 8 to 10 years of technical training and/or related experience.
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction.
• Basic knowledge of all crafts.
• Advanced knowledge of key crafts onsite, i.e., mechanical skills, soft skills, planning and safety.
• Highly developed leadership and mentor skills.
• Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy.
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Supervises total maintenance and/or construction effort to ensure project is constructed and/or maintained in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
• Plans, coordinates, and supervises on-site functions including scheduling, engineering, material control.
• Provides technical assistance, such as interpretation of drawings.
• Ensures on-site personnel comply with safety program requirements and company standards.
• Documents violations and recommends corrective actions.
• Adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedule.
