Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering, site administration, and coordination on client projects. Work is conducted 100% in the field or from the project site as needed, under general supervision.

Responsibilities include daily reporting, quality control, inspection write-ups, schedule adherence, and effective communication with subcontractors and management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience. The associate or bachelor's degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate with site construction lead on scheduling, daily reports, and quality control.
• Oversee subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and alignment with drawings.
• Maintain project schedule and communicate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Write daily and quality inspection reports for review.
• Take progress photographs and label them for records.
• Assist with monthly progress reports.
• Ensure contractors use latest design drawings.
• Support Project Construction Manager as needed.
• May supervise key trades/subcontractors.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments with the Project Manager.
• Maintain clear correspondence with project management and clients.
• Keep on-site records per CDM Smith requirements.
