Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large, multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE/NAVFAC requirements. You will write the project QC plan, chair when needed, and own the NCR/corrective-action process.

You will supervise field inspectors, coordinate lab testing and material certifications, and report results to the owner's QA representative.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, DOT or similar programs.
• Clear writing and ability to stand firm with project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
