Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Quality Manager I to own the QC program on a single project, reporting to a senior quality manager, and overseeing inspection and test planning, field and lab testing, and nonconformance processes.

You will write daily QC reports, track NCRs to closure, review submittals and certifications, and coordinate with superintendents and engineers, with travel to assigned sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• Able to read specifications and drawings and turn them into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and comfortable telling a superintendent that a lift does not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against the specifications.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests; verify certifications of technicians.
• Write the daily quality control report and the three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
