Job summary

CDM Smith invites applications for an Intermediate Construction Professional to work in the field at client project sites. You will perform field engineering, site administration, design and construction support, estimating, scheduling, quality control, and safety compliance.

The role requires coordinating with the site construction lead, overseeing subcontractors, maintaining records, and preparing daily and monthly reports while ensuring adherence to drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with nine years of relevant experience
• Associate degree with six years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree with three years of relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate with the site construction lead on field operations, scheduling, daily/quality reports, and communications with subs
• Supervise subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and conformance to drawings and specs
• Maintain project schedule adherence and escalate delays to management
• Prepare daily and quality inspection reports for record keeping
• Capture progress photos and label them for documentation
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports and ensure use of latest design drawings revision
• Assist Project Construction Manager as needed and support key trades/subcontractors
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments in coordination with the Project Manager
• Maintain clear, professional communication with management and clients
• Maintain on-site records per company requirements
• Follow company Quality Policy and procedures
• 100% travel per project requirement
• Pay range: 68,370 – 112,840
