Job summary

Braun Intertec is seeking an entry to mid-level Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician to join our La Crosse, WI office. As a technician, you will perform testing on soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt for regional construction projects.

This role includes field testing, data reporting, and mentoring of junior staff. We offer in-depth training, industry certifications, and a competitive benefits package in a 100% employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• Must have safety-focused mindset and attention to detail.
• Strong reading of plans and technical documentation.
• Basic math and technical aptitude relevant to materials testing.
• Willingness to work extended or nontraditional hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine & moderately complex sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
• Perform field concrete testing, including slump, air content, and temperature.
• Perform field density tests of soils.
• Prepare daily reports and documentation of field activities in electronic format.
• Work with project managers and senior technicians to ensure specifications are followed.
• Assist with training & mentoring of junior staff.
