Job summary

Olsson seeks an Associate Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician to support quality and safety on construction projects. You will independently collect material samples from varied sites and perform tests to assess properties, documenting results for project managers.

You will travel to job sites in diverse terrain and weather, with provided PPE, training, and a path to mentorship within a collaborative, growth‑minded firm.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
• 3+ years of experience in construction observation, inspection, testing, or a related field.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving history.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Associate degree from a technical or four‑year school preferred but not required.
• ACI Grade 1/ICC Nuclear or DOT certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Independently collect construction materials samples from various sites and perform tests and inspections.
• Document findings and communicate results to project managers and stakeholders.
• Ensure quality and safety of construction projects.
• Travel to job sites and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions.
