Job summary

Olsson is seeking an Assistant Construction Materials and Testing (CMT) Technician to join our field team. You will collect material samples from varied sites and perform tests to ensure quality and safety, documenting results for project managers.

You will travel to job sites, work in diverse conditions, and receive full training, a company laptop, and PPE. A valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving history.
• Willing to work flexible schedule.
• Bachelor-level preferred but not required in civil/construction-related field.
• Experience with materials testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently collect construction materials samples from job sites.
• Perform tests and inspections on materials to assess properties and integrity.
• Document findings and communicate results to project managers and other stakeholders.
• Travel to various job sites and work in all terrains and weather conditions.
