Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates, Inc. in Owings Mills, MD seeks a Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our field team. You will perform field observations, sampling and testing of soils, concrete, aggregates and related materials, and keep accurate daily logs.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for field work.
• Ability to lift and move up to 60–80 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied climates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient use of MS Office and tablet devices.
• Basic reading of plans, specifications with training.

Responsibilities

• Perform field observations at regional jobsites.
• Sample and test construction materials including soil, concrete, aggregates, and related items.
• Prepare accurate daily logs outlining inspections and test results.
• Communicate project progress with PM or Operations Manager.
