Job summary

Flint Hills Resources is seeking an Inspector/Construction Manager to lead on-site cleaning, inspection, and repair projects for storage tanks and pipeline stations, ensuring safety, compliance, and cost-effective execution.

You will coordinate contractors, enforce permits and safety, develop work plans, provide QC, and manage turnover docs; this role requires heavy field time (80%), including nights and travel. Prefer northern region but other locations may be considered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in project planning and jobsite safety management in an industrial setting.
• Experience with API 650 tank construction.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willing to travel up to 75-90%, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute project plans while ensuring safety, responsible action, and cost-effectiveness.
• Support cleaning, inspection, and repair of storage tanks and related equipment.
• Develop detailed written work plans and procedures for site execution.
• Administer daily safe work permits and communicate hazards and risks.
• Provide QC oversight to ensure drawings and specs are followed.
• Coordinate with teams, contractors, and site personnel for timely, high-quality execution.
• Maintain turnover docs including red-lined drawings, OQ records, and change requests.
• Spend at least 80% of time in the field; travel as needed.
