Job summary

Flint Hills Resources is seeking an Inspector/Construction Manager to lead on-site cleaning, inspection, and repair projects for storage tanks and pipeline stations. You will ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective execution, coordinate contractors, and manage turnover documentation.

This role requires extensive field time, including nights and weekends, with travel flexibility. The position emphasizes safety, environmental compliance, and quality control, with a focus on meeting project

Qualifications

• 3+ years in project planning, safety management, contractor coordination in industrial settings.
• Experience with API 650 tank construction.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willing to travel up to 75–90% including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Execute project plans while ensuring safe, responsible, and cost-efficient execution.
• Support cleaning, inspection, and repair of storage tanks and related equipment.
• Develop detailed written work plans and procedures for site execution.
• Administer daily safe work permits to contractors with clear hazard/mistak mitigation expectations.
• Provide quality control oversight to ensure work meets drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and site personnel for safe, timely, high-quality execution.
• Maintain and issue turnover documentation including red-lined drawings, OQ records, and change requests.
• Spend at least 80% of time in the field; nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
