Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking a Construction Manager to lead field execution of the Big Island Mill capital projects, coordinating contractors, field resources, and safety oversight to deliver safe, efficient, and high‑quality results.

You will partner with project managers and the mill safety team to develop scopes, schedules, budgets, and execution plans, while maintaining progress across multiple projects and ensuring compliance with engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in industrial construction, maintenance, or project execution
• 5+ years in construction management, site supervision, or related leadership roles
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs
• Experience managing multiple priorities and diverse stakeholders
• Knowledge of ASME and ANSI standards and codes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project
• Strong written and verbal communication across organization levels
• Experience with capital projects from planning through startup
• Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
• Experience with CMMS systems like Passport

Responsibilities

• Lead field execution of the mill's capital projects ensuring safety and quality
• Coordinate contractors and construction resources
• Partner with mill safety team to ensure safe execution and compliance
• Assist PMs with scopes, schedules, budgets, and execution plans
• Lead contractor pre-bid visits, scope reviews, and constructability discussions
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup activities
• Oversee quality assurance activities, inspections, testing, and turnover records
• Drive closure of punch lists and deficiencies
• Maintain schedules and budgets with risk/opportunity management
• Support duty team program and advancement to Duty Leader
