Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Toledo Mill seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer to provide on-site engineering support for civil and structural assets. You will work with operations, maintenance, and project teams to ensure safe, reliable structures and infrastructure and to support both maintenance and capital work.

This role emphasizes field-based problem solving, risk reduction, and execution support for outages, repairs, and capital projects within an active mill environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience with industrial or heavy manufacturing facilities preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and practical execution focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day civil and structural engineering support for mill assets.
• Perform field inspections and condition assessments to identify risks.
• Support maintenance with troubleshooting and work scope development.
• Review designs and drawings for site suitability and constructability.
• Coordinate with contractors during design, construction, and repair activities.
• Ensure compliance with codes and mill safety requirements.
