Glass Roots Construction (GRC) seeks a skilled Fiber Optic Foreman in the Portland, OR area to lead underground and aerial fiber work, manage crews, and ensure safety and quality on high-stakes projects.

You will interpret plans, coordinate logistics, and use specialized equipment while traveling up to 75% and remaining on-call for emergencies. CDL Class A is preferred; base hourly range in Portland is $30–$38 with opportunity for growth.

Qualificações

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing: Valid Driver's License; CDL preferred.
• Experience: Led field crews in telecom/underground utility construction.
• Tech: Read blueprints; operate fiber blowing/pulling equipment.
• Availability: 75% travel and on-call for emergencies.

Responsabilidades

• Crew Leadership: Lead underground and aerial crews in blowing fiber, pulling conduits, and installing cabling.
• Equipment Mastery: Operate, maintain, train crews on Super Jets, Micro Jets, capstan wheels, air compressors, and hydraulic reel trailers.
• Project Oversight: Interpret construction plans/blueprints to meet specs and safety standards.
• Safety & Compliance: Direct traffic per DOT guidelines; ensure OSHA compliance.
• Operations Management: Maintain records; provide forecasts via project management platform.
• Network Maintenance: Locate utilities, route drives, and provide 24/7 emergency response.
• Stakeholder Communication: Primary field contact for clients, permitting agencies, and inspectors.
