Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Construction and Maintenance Technician I to support field operations in Orrville/Athens, OH. You will help operate, install, and maintain gas system infrastructure safely and respond to emergencies within the service area.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and entry-level mechanical/industrial experience. CDL within 18 months is expected; good safety record and basic computer skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Entry-level mechanical/industrial experience preferred.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to wear PPE.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office) and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist operation and maintenance of gas pipelines and facilities.
• Maintain company equipment, facilities, and grounds.
• Perform pipeline maintenance and leak repairs as directed.
• Operate equipment with guidance and document daily records.
• Conduct equipment inspections (pre/post trip).
• Keep company vehicle stocked and clean.
• Assist with peak shaving processes as needed.
