Job summary

ARCO Design/Build is seeking a Superintendent Intern/Co-op in Salt Lake City to gain hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of a construction project. You will work alongside seasoned field leaders, supporting field operations, safety leadership, scheduling, and quality control on active jobsites.

The program focuses on drawing review, site walks, progress documentation, and team collaboration with Project Managers and field teams to deliver projects safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering program.
• Driver’s License required.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.
• Previous Co-op or intern experience in construction preferred but not required.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily field operations from site mobilization through project completion.
• Participate in safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture.
• Assist with coordinating subcontractor activities to keep projects on schedule.
• Document daily job site activities and prepare daily reports.
• Review construction drawings and shop drawings in the field.
