Job summary

Benchmark Construction Company is seeking a Field Management professional to lead portions of large projects or smaller initiatives in Pennsylvania. You will coordinate field teams, suppliers, and schedules, while upholding Benchmark standards for safety, quality, and productivity.

You will read and interpret drawings, manage look-ahead plans, and mentor on-site teams. The role emphasizes strong communication, problem solving, and ownership to deliver outstanding results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction experience through on-the-job training, school, or apprenticeship.
• Experience leading portions of commercial construction projects, coordinating field teams, subcontractors, and schedules.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and site drawings.
• Leadership mindset with ability to foster accountability and maintain a productive jobsite culture.
• OSHA 30-Hour and First Aid/CPR/AED certified, with strong safety risk management understanding.
• Strong organization, planning, and documentation skills for schedules and logistics.
• Comfort using field tech like Procore and Microsoft Office.
• Effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and project leadership.
• Reliable, adaptable, and ready to own challenges and drive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own a portion of a large project or full responsibility for a smaller project, ensuring safety and quality.
• Coordinate Benchmark employees and subcontractors, ensuring resources and direction for success.
• Help keep projects on schedule by planning work, monitoring manpower, and maintaining momentum.
• Lead by example to enforce safety standards and create a safe work environment.
• Review progress, correct issues, and minimize punch lists with craftsmanship.
• Collaborate with Superintendents, Project Managers, field teams, and subcontractors to keep communication clear.
• Assist with look-ahead schedules, shop drawing reviews, material deliveries, and logistics.
• Support employee development and provide performance feedback to build a high-performing culture.
• Maintain daily logs, manpower reporting, progress photos, and project documentation.
• Participate in turnover meetings, project kickoffs, and training opportunities for growth.
• Build relationships with clients and team members and represent Benchmark with integrity.
