Job summary

Chenega Security SBU is seeking an on-site Superintendent to lead construction activities, oversee field operations, and drive project performance. The role requires coordinating subcontractors, ensuring compliance with EM 385-1-1 and OSHA standards, and delivering high-quality results on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years in a superintendent role on comparable projects, strong communication skills, and a track record of safety and quality performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years as a Superintendent on projects of similar size, complexity, and scope.
• Experience managing field operations, subcontractors, schedules, quality performance, and safety compliance.
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply construction drawings, specs, and contract documents.
• Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 Safety and Health Requirements Manual and OSHA standards.
• Successful completion of the Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors course.
• Ability to interpret and manage CPM schedules and construction sequencing activities.
• Must be fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction activities and coordinate field operations.
• Ensure work aligns with contract requirements, specifications, schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Maintain continuous on-site leadership through project completion and acceptance.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel for safe, efficient execution.
• Monitor progress, productivity, and schedule performance to address delays and risks.
• Interpret drawings and specs to ensure correct implementation of technical requirements.
• Apply advanced technical knowledge to resolve field construction and installation issues.
• Collaborate with PMs, QC, safety, customers, and stakeholders to meet objectives and customer satisfaction.
