Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking an on-site field operations professional for a Phoenix project to coordinate daily field activities, manage subcontractors, and maintain records. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to drawings and schedules.

You will prepare daily and quality inspection reports, track progress, and ensure the latest design revisions are used. Travel to project sites and collaboration with the Project Construction Manager are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of construction or field operations experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of construction or field operations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience. The associate or bachelor’s degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate overall field operations with the site construction lead, including project scheduling, daily reporting, quality control, adherence to drawings and specifications, and subcontractor communication.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction activities to ensure work is safe, meets quality standards, and aligns with project drawings and specifications.
• Ensure all work adheres to the established project schedule; escalate potential or actual project delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review and approval, serving as official project records.
• Take progress photographs of construction events and label/identify each photograph.
• Assist site construction lead or Project Construction Manager with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revision for construction.
• May provide assistance to Project Construction Manager.
• May be responsible for key trade and/or subcontractor support of the overall project.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments for client approval working with Project Manager.
• Provide proper correspondence with project management and clients so that all project issues are handled clearly and professionally.
• Maintain on-site records and files per The Perry Group’s document control standards.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent + 9 years of construction/field ops experience

Associate degree + 6 years of construction/field ops experience

Bachelor’s degree + 3 years of relevant experience (Construction Management/Engineering-related)
