Job summary

R&H Construction seeks an Assistant Superintendent to provide planning, scheduling, supervision, and oversight on a project section. You will coordinate with R&H employees and subcontractors, manage schedules, and maintain safety and quality standards on site.

Responsibilities include creating master schedules, monitoring progress, resolving constructability issues, and ensuring timely project closeout.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and sequencing.
• Thorough knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and inspection processes.
• Strong communication skills - written and oral.
• Strong leadership skills - ability to manage multiple subcontractors and schedule simultaneously.
• Able to read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
• Attention to detail, analytical approach to problems.
• Current knowledge of safety regulations and codes.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to use independent judgment and independent action.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise craft activities within your area of responsibility and determine construction methods.
• Assist in creating the project master schedule in MS Project and provide area input.
• Create detailed schedule portions and provide regular updates to the Senior Superintendent.
• Identify schedule impacts and corrective actions with project team.
• Coordinate workflow and material deliveries with the project superintendent.
• Review plans for quality and constructability; oversee quality control plan.
• Organize and manage foreman and subcontractor relationships and performance.
• Attend site foreman meetings to ensure schedule and quality communication.
