Job summary

B.L.-Harbert-International, LLC- in Daleville, AL, is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the Sr. Project Superintendent in day-to-day field supervision of construction activities.

You will help enforce safety policies, direct craft personnel and subcontractors, and coordinate scheduling to keep the project on time and within budget. This role requires reading and interpreting construction documents, maintaining QC/QA files, and attending progress meetings.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience as an assistant superintendent with 3 years of total construction experience
• Experience in construction management, commercial/hospitality, buildings and infrastructure
• Degree in Construction Management, engineering, or comparable degree
• Experience managing project budgets, developing and maintaining schedules, and owner relationships
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be open to relocation

Responsibilities

• Support the Sr. Project Superintendent in the day-to-day supervision of field construction activities
• Direct craft personnel and subcontractors; schedule and sequence daily work
• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures
• Maintain QC/QA files and update as-built drawings
• Attend pre-construction, progress, and staff meetings
• Monitor staffing needs and address performance issues as warranted
