Job summary

GAI Consultants Inc. is seeking an Associate Construction Technician to perform construction inspection on Power Generation projects.

This role can be done remotely with travel in Pennsylvania from the greater Collegeville Area, and involves gaining hands-on experience in earthwork, foundation inspection, and testing of soils and concrete. Responsibilities include interpreting specifications, observing construction activities, and performing field and laboratory tests.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required; willingness to travel up to 100%
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
• Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications for field observations on construction sites.
• Conduct tests and investigations in field or laboratory to obtain data on construction materials' properties.
• Collect soil, asphalt, and concrete samples; prepare samples for testing; record data and prepare summaries.
• Document field activities, observations, and testing results.
• Perform laboratory and field tests according to prescribed procedures and standards.
• Use specialized equipment to prepare analyses, reports and drawings.
• Communicate testing results with staff, contractors, and clients.
