Job summary

ECM Consultants Inc. is seeking a full-time Certified Construction Inspector to perform daily inspections for compliance with plans and specifications and document all observations.

The role focuses on safety, quality, and public welfare, serving as the first line of QA on site. Requirements include high school diploma or GED, 7–10 years in construction/inspection, LADOTD and Structural Concrete/PCC Paving certifications, and OSHA training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with construction/inspection experience.
• OSHA safety training and LADOTD pavement certifications required.
• Ability to read civil drawings and maps, perform basic algebra/geometry.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work for compliance with plans, specs, and codes.
• Document daily observations, weather, and activities on site.
• Prepare daily reports, as-built records, and punch lists.
• Communicate with the public and coordinate with contractors.
• Maintain vehicles/equipment and adhere to safety procedures.
