Job summary

Consor Engineers is seeking a construction inspector to monitor on-site activities, inspect materials, and ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and contract documents. You will prepare detailed inspection reports and coordinate with project teams to maintain quality and accuracy on transportation projects.

The role requires the ability to read plans, perform field calculations, and operate in outdoor environments. A HS Diploma is required, with 0–5 years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD software.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to obtain required certifications and pass tests within time frames.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, observe, and document construction activities for compliance with plans and contracts.
• Perform field measurements and calculations to support payments and QA.
• Maintain daily inspection reports detailing labor, equipment, and materials.
• Conduct on-site material testing and produce as-constructed sketches as required.
• Assist with design tasks and field duties for transportation infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate testing and inspection activities with contractors and client partners.
