Job summary

ECM Consultants, an Aventia Company, seeks a full-time Certified Construction Inspector to perform daily inspections for compliance with plans and specifications. The role supports public health and safety and serves as the first line of quality assurance on site in Lafayette, LA.

Responsibilities include monitoring contractor activity, documenting observations, and maintaining accurate records. The position requires 8–10 hour days, with occasional weekend work, and travel between sites as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 7–10 years of construction/inspection experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle required.
• Current OSHA safety training and LADOTD certifications (Asphalt Paving, Structural Concrete, PCC Paving, Embankment & Base) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect daily work to ensure compliance with plans and codes.
• Document observations, weather, equipment use, and contractor activity.
• Prepare daily reports and maintain as-built records and shop drawings.
• Coordinate daily routes and communicate with the public and supervision.
