Job summary

CrossRoad Engineers, PC in Indiana is seeking a Construction Inspector to support construction observation across our projects. You will evaluate plans, monitor contractor progress, and ensure compliance with QA procedures and codes.

Duties include logging daily progress, preparing reports, tracking costs, and coordinating with project teams, governments, and clients. A Construction Management or Civil Engineering degree with 0–3 years of experience is required, plus strong written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Evaluate all plans and project contract documents and ensure activities comply with QA procedures and review construction schedules for project compliance.
• Monitor and perform regular checks on contractor progress and maintain knowledge on all project requirements, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal codes.
• Analyze and interpret specifications and blueprints per contracts and monitor deviations to ensure compliance and maintain daily progress logs for reports.
• Track and document all construction activities and maintain logs and reports; prepare pay estimates.
• Monitor construction activities, adherence to procedures and specifications, evaluate contract plans and maintain safety standards at all times.
• Analyze work sites and recommend changes to improve processes and administer efficient operations with project teams and contract documents.
• Monitor and document issues with contracts and interpret contract specifications and material requirements; store all required documents.
