Job summary

ECM Consultants, Inc. is seeking a full-time Certified Construction Inspector to conduct daily inspections in Metairie, LA, ensuring work complies with plans, specifications, and codes. The role emphasizes documenting observations, safety, and quality assurance on site.

The Inspector will maintain records, submit daily reports, and communicate effectively with contractors and the public, while adhering to safety protocols and driving between locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 7–10 years of construction/inspection experience or related education.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• Current OSHA safety training.
• LADOTD certifications in Asphalt Paving, Structural Concrete, PCC Paving, and Embankment & Base.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work to meet codes and project plans.
• Document daily observations, weather, and site activities.
• Maintain as-built records, punch lists, and current shop drawings.
• Communicate with the public, clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Adhere to safety procedures and manage field operations and scheduling.
