Job summary

WSP USA in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Construction Inspection Specialist to perform technical inspections of construction projects and materials testing. The role requires independent judgment, reading plans and specifications, and travel to field sites to verify compliance with contract requirements.

You will conduct inspections, QA testing of materials, prepare documentation, and support project supervisors with cost estimates and progress reports.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the procedures and techniques used construction inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret construction codes, plans, standards, and specifications.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections of construction projects for compliance with contract requirements and department standards and specifications.
• Performs quality assurance testing of materials, including obtaining and preparing material samples and documentation.
• Schedules and controls test procedures for quality of compaction and soils sampling programs.
• Conducts training for personnel associated with project construction to ensure safety standards compliance.
• Prepares project documentation, periodic cost estimates, and progress reports.
